PRIDE motorcycling was founded in
2000 and is one of the country's most advanced motorcycle training
organisations. Operated by two ex police motorcycle instructors it is
capable of instruction up to and beyond
IAM and
RoSPA
standards. Our chief instructor Roger
Peter-Budge was a police motorcyclist for most of his 30 years in the force.
Gordon Kemp, another of our instructors, is also our training adviser. He has a teaching degree in motorcycle rider instruction which he has studied in
the UK and abroad. He developed our unique on-board video
recording system that offers unparalleled levels of instruction.
Video playback gives us the ability to review, analyse and correct aspects of
a training ride rather than rely purely on memory. Our
classroom is equipped with audio visual training equipment, white-boards and
an all important coffee bar.
We teach all levels of motorcycling from
the newest inexperienced rider to advanced
instructor level and can offer training and examination in a range
of skills up to a BTEC qualification in Motorcycling Skills. We teach people
of all ages, abilities, backgrounds and nationalities to ride motorcycles
or mopeds for business or pleasure.
Based in the Junction 24 complex at North
Petherton, Somerset
we have a large off-road practice area and provide rider training for all
the major motorcycle dealers in our area. Many of our customers are from
outside Somerset but travel to us for first class training.
Today's modern motorcyclists want
quality in everything including the way they are taught. We
offer a level of instruction and assessment second to none with the
opportunity to have two ex police instructors review and assess your riding.
PRIDE also run organised motorcycle events
in the UK and abroad. Our annual trip to Le Mans, France for the Moto GP is
always well supported. We will be expanding our events and tours in the near
future to meet an ever increasing demand. Our tours and events are not just
for the pleasure of riding, they are part of our training philosophy. We
ride for pleasure and learn from every journey we make.

Our Road Skills circuit day
events give riders the
opportunity to push their own personal limits as well as their bikes but in
a controlled, learning environment. The Le Mans trip is used for advanced
road riding techniques and of course learning how to ride in foreign
countries with their differences in rules-of-road. |
